A cautionary tale for those thinking of hiring a vehicle from Enterprise Vehicle Hire in Stevenage Hertfordshire. My son hired a van from them 3 weeks ago at the time he pointed out to the lady at the depot that the offside headlight was broken, he asked her to put the details in the inspection sheet and she said, its ok, don't worry it will be OK. My son should have taken a photograph of both the headlight and the person he picked the van up from but he didn't so I will move on, upon returning the van back to the depot the next day, the guy he handed it back to said that he had broken the head light and that his £500 deposit would not be returned as that was needed to to replace the headlight, my son explained that the lady who gave him the van knew about the headlight and said it was OK, the guy replied, well she don't work here anymore so he was keeping the money. At this moment in time my son is writing to this fucking stealing little shit trying to get his money back, I find it very convenient that the lady no longer works there, the guy said he spoke to her and she knows nothing about it, I ask myself how many other people has he pulled this stunt on?
So if anyone is thinking of hiring from this company, I would seriously think about it before doing so, or at least photograph everything and the person handing over the vehicle, also take their name.
For the record I will be going to see a solicitor this week on my sons behalf, and I will be suing him for the return of the deposit plus costs, and I will also be pursuing the lady in court for Slander, I will pursue them publicly also, I will be contacting the local papers and the national press, they have fucked with the wrong person. And if that don't work, I will track them down and deal with them my way, I will get the money back, and leave a few bruises on those that have tried to take advantage of my son.
