There is one thing that is really annoying me recently and that’s people (mainly women) who have large vehicles (people carriers) and can't or don’t want to park them correctly in parking bays, and its starting to get my blood boiling, as an example last week I followed a large VW people carrier into a small car park the had 2 spaces side by side, the driver, a women promptly placed her vehicle bang in the middle of the 2 bays, as they were the only ones free I politely asked to reposition her car so I could park, she said that she always parked like this as she did not want people to open their cars doors against her new car making dents, I replied that yes it’s a pain in the arse when they do that, but she could not cover 2 bays, she said something under her breath and re-parked but she was still over the bay I was going into, she got out of her vehicle gave me the finger and walked off.  Now giving me the finger is not polite or nice for a lady to give, so I watched her walk away and immediately parked right against her driver’s door leaving about an 8" gap, I then went and did my shop and returned to find her standing by her car waiting for someone or something, so I decided to sit on a wall opposite so I could watch what she was going to do about the situation, 5 minutes or so later she opened the passenger door and climbed into her driver seat at which point I walked to my opened my door gave her the finger got in my car and drove off.

I have now decided that anyone occupying more space than required with oversize vehicles I will park as close as possible to their driver doors, in fact if I find one already close to someone else with their passenger door really close to someone I hope I can block them from entering their car full stop, now some of you may be cheering, others will be calling me names but I don’t care, if you drive a large vehicle, make sure you can actually drive it, and secondly don’t be upset when you find dents in your doors,  the main problem being that the lines laid out for the bays were never intended for the size of vehicles parking in them now, maybe you should leave your vehicles somewhere else? So think before you park.

So I don't post as often as I would like normally due to either work load or health issues, but everyone and then I write a post and BANG, the amount of hits I get goes really high? So I check the days this happened and had a look at the post and its always immediately after I have been moaning about someone or something in education, why? I don't know, maybe there are few bloggers who talk about this subject, maybe because there are people out there that agree with me and are just happy to let people like me moan about it in public so they don't have to?

Anyway, whatever the reason I am pleased someone is reading the blogs I write.
Last night was red nose night for our students, and they were asked to get sponsorship so they could take part in a 30 hour challenge and stay overnight at the college, however there were certain things they had to do to take part, being a media department we set 3 tasks, the Film & TV students had to make a short film based on a phrase, genre and prop, the games students had to create a game around the red nose and the radio guys had to broadcast and interview those taking part.  Unfortunately I had other commitments that meant I was unable to stay all night, however arriving at the college this morning was like walking into a war zone, bodies littered everywhere, food and drink stuck to the carpets, it's disgusting, these are young adults not kids, so why do they ruin the areas that today they will have to work in?

​Enough moaning for today, I need to get ready to deliver my lecture at 9, that gonna be fun, NOT.

The one thing I will never understand is putting someone in charge of an area that they absolutely nothing about, let me explain.  We have a new Faculty Manager for the Media academy at work, unfortunately not only is he on the asperges spectrum he was the head of maths, and he has no understanding of media what so ever, as an example, we need new cameras to replace our old video ones, so the unit lead go to him and explains we need 10 cameras with external microphones and tripods, to which he replies, why do you need tripods? is he fucking serious, so we can mount the cameras on them? he then asks why microphones whats wrong with the built in ones? at this point tempers are rising at the complete stupidity of this idiot, if you don't know about a subject fuck off and find something you do know about.

The whole education system if completely screwed, with people like this running colleges its no wonder we are in trouble as a county.

God I am really pissed off at the minute.  More tomorrow.

So this weekend has been a real shit, I am sure I am suffering from sleeping sickness, I have spent the whole weekend sitting in a chair dozing or sleeping, I just could not keep my eyes open, so what's going on, I have been checking google for an answer, unfortunately it would appear that I have several problems, depression, anxiety, anaemia, thyroid disease, Diabetes ( I am Diabetic), rheumatoid arthritis, Sleep Apnea, Chronic Fatigue and about a hundred other things, I have never been a good sleeper, I often have less that 3 hours a night, I work 14 hours a day, including travel to and from work, I also work when I get home often not putting head to pillow until 3 - 4 am taking a shower at 6am to get ready for work.

My doctor says I am burning out, at 60 he thinks I should give up work, and retire to do the things on my bucket list before I run out of time.  He firmly believes due to my medical problems that I am on borrowed time, in fact he is surprised I have lasted this long, but I am a stubborn bastard and refuse to pop off just yet, my family are begging me to stop working, but I can't, what I do know is this, if I stop it will be permanent, I mean I will expire, and I really believe this so, unfortunately for you the reader I intend to be around a little longer.

So whats pissed me off last week, quite a bit, the septic dwarf for one, can someone shut her up before we give her what she wants and them she and Scotland will be really fucked.
Arshole Wenger, I am a spurs supporter but he needs to quit before he drags the gunners down to a depth that maybe hard to recover from for a while.
​The eastern europeans who keep parking in my space at home, I swear that I will set on ablaze before to long, what really pisses me off is that don't even live in my street, when I try to talk to them they pretend not to understand?
​The stupidity of my students, they don't understand the importance of getting a qualification.

It's been a while since my last confession, well blog post anyway, but I have been very busy of late, cleaning out my old studio, buying more tools, and getting ready for easter so I can start really getting into my luthiering, plus so many other things that I can't keep up with them all.

So, Brexit once again has reared it's head and hopefully the government can get on with it and get us out of the shit club that is the EU, I have never met so many bad losers, i.e. those that voted remain and who seem hell bent on trying to put obstacles in the way, all I can say is "GET OVER IT", were leaving, move on or even better move out to somewhere in the EU if you love it so much, and stay there.

As a part of Brexit, Nicola Sturgeon 'The Septic Dwarf' is looking for another referendum on leaving the UK, what she has failed to see is the EU has already said that the chances of scotland as an individual getting in to the EU are zero, so if the Scots decide to leave us they will not benefit from any any deal we do, or with other countries outside the EU, and we will not give them anymore money, so if they vote leave on this they will lose big time, however I think we should have a vote to kick them out anyway.

​Although people would not know it to look at me, I have been rather unwell of late, not feeling like doing much or interacting with people which is a bit of an issue considering my job, however like I said they would never know, but sometimes because of my health issues I find it really hard to even get out of bed some mornings, the pain at time is just unbearable, but I will not give into it, but now I am over 60 I wonder if I will ever get better or is it downhill from here on in?  Only time will tell, and this is one of the reasons I have not been active in my posting, I just haven't felt up to it.
On a more positive note, I have now received all my tools for my workshop and really need to get on with setting it up, however, I do need help, so will be asking my son to join me over easter to get it cleaned and ready to go.

I also went to the Birmingham guitar show at the end of March, hoping to spend a fortune, but there was nothing there that ticked my fancy, no new guitar, or pedals, however I did leave with a very fine little amp from Backstair, links below, amazing little amp with all sorts of tech for me to play with in the future, however, not sure thats going to work as I can't play anymore? anyway, one of the main reasons I went was to hopefully meet Ben Crowe of Crimson Guitars, link below, but his stand was over run with people hoping to meet him also, never mind, maybe next time.
