The workshop is now coming together, I just need to get rid of a few very large aquariums and then I can start really getting things sorted, the hope is by christmas that I can start working on projects that I have had in my head for a couple of years, it's amazing how much crap you collect over the years, I have a steel rack in the workshop thats stacked to the roof with I don't know what? I will have to get a skip at some point and have a clear out, the aquariums are the biggest pain, there are 6 of them 3'x2'x2.5', they were custom made to fit a rack system and cost about £250 each, if I can't sell them before I get the skip then I will through them in there as well, a shame really but I need the space.
So onto gardening, I can't do gardens for a couple of legitimate reasons, 1, I have an allergic reaction to most plants especially grass, if I get it on my skin, large welts appear and it itches like hell, so I have to wear a decorators overall, you know the white paper things with a hood, so I look like some sort of weirdo when mowing the lawn, 2, I have this neurological issue with my arms and hands that only allow me to do about 15 minutes work without a break, so a simple job can often take me 4 times longer than anyone else, however, that's nothing compared to the state of the garden as it is, I have not done any gardening since last September, it has weeds 5 feet high and sycamore trees growing that are now about an inch thick and the same height as the weeds ( the sycamore trees are from the seeds from the tree lined path next to my garden, so in autumn the helicopter seeds as we called them as kids are continually falling into the garden, so I loose ever year to those bloody trees, anyway, I managed to get about a 10 x 20 patch of lawn cut back, only 4 times that amount to go, then I can mow it, the boarders will be next, and thats a 2 weekend job at least. SO I will be busy over the next month or so trying to get on top of the garden work, then I need to spray the worksop with it protective coating (workshop is a double garage log cabin) so spraying is easier than a paint brush. Just so much to do in so little time as I now only have the weekends off, I am no longer free lance, but that's another story.
It's just started pissing down with rain so no gardening today, Fuck, so I will have to work inside today on either more workshop stuff or fix a nice little watch I have in bits waiting to be put back together.
If you have a subject you would like me to talk about let me know in the comments or email me.
Until next time.
