I like to think of myself as a good driver, with over 40 years driving and no accidents, hang on I lie, 1 very minor collision and I was stationary at the time, not my fault, I am surprised at the extremely poor driving of the so called professionals, and yes I mean Lorry Drivers. I was a bus driver in London for a couple of years so I like to think that I can talk about this matter with some confidence, the first thing is why the fuck do you try to overtake the lorry in front of you when you are both traveling at the same speed now blocking 2 lanes? I had on occasion where I was behind one of these idiots and it took nearly 10 miles for him to get passed, the other faster moving vehicles forming a massive cue behind, every car that passed him sounded their horn letting him know he was a twat. So why do it, you get to you location no quicker.
Now the other thing is pulling out in front of vehicles leaving no time or room to break safely, this happens everyday on the A14, yesterday was a good example, I was travelling in the overtaking lane (A14 is a 2 lane dual carriage way) when the lorry to the left and front of me indicated to come out of his lane, I was no more than 4 feet behind him, as soon as he indicated he made the manoeuvre and pulled out in front of me making me hit the breaks and slow from 65 - 50, the women behind me nearly hit me because she was driving to close in her VW, I hate tailgaters, after he had returned to the inner lane I politely hooted as I went passed to let him know that I was not very happy, which brings me to the law of the roads, I have spoken to 2 traffic police about this sort of thing and they have both said that if someone manoeuvres a vehicle in front of you causing you to take evasive action i.e. hard breaking or have to swerve to avoid a collision that is an offence and carries 3 points on your licence and a £100 fine, you are guilty of Driving with undue care and attention, even dangerous driving if a collision takes place, great if you have witnesses, however, the last traffic cop I spoke to said if you have a car camera and record the incident you can take the recording to the police station or to a traffic/motorway cop, show the the footage and if 1, they deem it to be dangerous and 2, you have captured the number plate of the vehicle, they will prosecute and even if they don't YOU CAN. SO to all you arsehole driver and I include car and motorcycle drivers/riders in this I will now make sure that my car-cam is on every journey and I will at the end of each week upload the bad driving on a YouTube channel I will be creating later today, and I will pop into the local police station with the footage and report you all, I am fed up of taking risk to my life everyday because of arsehole bad driver. Watch this Space.
A short moan today but I am probably going to talk about ghosts and ghouls tomorrow, whats wrong with peoples heads? Just read a previous post where I said I would discuss God, so maybe both.
