Moving on, it's been a weird couple of weeks during this half term, week one draged like fuck because I sat in my office at work staring at a screen with nothing to do, however week 2 was a little more interesting with me working everyday in the new workshop, building partitions etc, but the thing that has shocked me is the price of timber, I know I have moaned about it before but it has cost me a lot more that I thought just to create the stud work for the partition, about £100 for 1 wall, and I still have more wood to order so the total build I think will be about £230, give or take a couple of quid.
However, it was really good to get back into woodworking mode, I love the smell of fresh cut wood and the sense of achivement when a project is finished, I did a City & Guilds Furniture making course a few years ago, and was shocked at how good I was at it, even if I say so my self, I got a distinction for my final piece, so the bug has stuck with me ever since, apart from making guitars I will also be using the workshop for other projects like using my lathe to make bowls and stuff, tables chairs and I am really keen to make a bed with a few added extras, I'm thinking bondage bed and stuff like that, I do like the idea of tying a young attractive female to the bed so she cant run off.
Anyway, I now need to deliver a short lecture on research techniques, sholu take about 15 minutes then I am done for the day. Watch this space.
